I went to my fabulous hairstylist today, who is not only my stylist but my "life coach". Like any woman who loves her stylist, she tends to tell him everything thats going on in her life, the good and the bad, to get advice, love and attention. (This is why its so expensive because they have to listen to all of us all day!) We were talking about human behavior, and he was telling me how you can tell if someone is lying to you. At least some behaviors that indicate that the person is not being truthful. He said that if someone is using their fingers to cover their mouth when they are speaking to you, or clearing their throat alot are two indications that someone is not being honest. Another way, is if someone’s eyes are constantly looking to their left when talking with you. Not the right, that means they are putting together the thoughts as they are speaking, like recalling something. I’m not sure if this is accurate or not and the following article has its own opinions, but its worth noting, whether its in a dating situation or even a business meeting. I met a friend for lunch yesterday and decided to try the “eye test” or NLP. I had couple of questions and topics in mind to talk about and, sure enough, she would look to up and to the left when she didn’t have an answer for my question. She was visually constructing her answer. And, she would look up and to the right when I asked her about something we had talked about previously. She was visually remembering our conversation. It was really interesting to pay attention to her eye movements. She’s a great conversationalist. She really listens and thinks through her answers. I would imagine there are variables that would affect eye movement that have nothing to do with NLP. If you’re a shy person, who is afraid to make eye contact, or if you’re just meeting someone new who you are attracted to and you’re feeling shy!

She tells Aiden he is too available. After not hearing from him for two days, she questions her actions, thinking she may have played her cards wrong. Carrie realizes that in her relationship with Aidan, she’s been behaving like Big, and Aiden has been acting like the sensitive and available guy she always wanted Big to be. In a rush to try and undue any damage done, Carrie shows up at breakfast with Aidan and the family.

This episode rang a bell for me. It rang LOUDLY because I’m finally in a relationship with an amazing guy who is honest, sensitive, loving, inclusive, responsive, appreciative, responsible and emotionally available.
